Swanton Lions Club Makes Monetary Donation to Local Food Charities
Given the record high cost of groceries around the country, food banks and organizations that provide community meals have been struggling to continue their benevolent good works. The greater Swanton area has been no exception to these difficult times. With that in mind, the Swanton Lions Club chose to donate $1,000 each to the following churches and food pantry:
Saint Vincent DePaul at Saint Richard, Delta Faith Lutheran, Church of the Nazarene, United Trinity Methodist Church, Swanton Faith Lutheran, McQuade Law Firm Food Pantry,
A representative from all six groups attended last night’s Swanton Lions Club meeting held in the banquet room of Benfield Wines and received the donation.
