BILL,
I wanted to let you know i have a new children’s book out. I’m releasing it today. It’s called “The Race!”. It’s centered around an annual race I have with my cousin’s 8-year-old daughter every June, when we vacation together. Ainsley, the 8-year-old blonde -haired, blue-eyed little girl I race, beats me every year! She seems to turn into some kind of sea creature and basically chases me out of the pool! I’ll get you a copy.
The back story on this relates back to Swanton, Ohio. My uncle, John Ciesielczyk, owned the Tom’s Donuts in Swanton back in the 1980’s & 90’s. I worked for my uncle for 7 years throughout high school and college. *While I worked there, his blonde-haired, blue-eyed daughter, Katrina, ruled the shop. *
When Tom’s Donuts closed (The Rite-Aid was built in its plkac), Uncle John and Katrina moved to Angola. John went to work for his brother-in-law, Tom Sailor, the creator and owner of the Tom’s Donut franchise. When Katrina was 18 and a senior in high school, John died of a heart attack at 50.
Katrina, his only child, eventually graduated from Angola High School and Purdue University. She currently lives in Houston, Texas, with her husband and two daughters. Her husband, Nathan, is an Aeronautical Engineer for NASA, and Katrina is a Therapist.
Their older daughter is Ainsley, a blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl who has the same energy her mom had growing up in the Donut Shop. “The Race!” is a life-come-around story. There are many more details to fill in, but recess is almost over at Delta Elementary, and i have to go back to work! LOL!
Thank you,
Jeffrey A. Mazurowski Intervention Specialist Delta Elementary School

You have been busy. That’s a really interesting back story. We’ll have to get together pretty soon so I can do an article on it.
