Food Truck Day Raises Funds for SHS Sports Complex

Swanton’s Memorial Park, the current location of Swanton High School’s baseball and softball home fields, played host to Food Truck Day in an effort to raise funds for a new baseball/softball complex to be located at the high school.  While the Swanton Bulldogs’ baseball and softball teams played varsity games against the visiting Evergreen Vikings, five food trucks were positioned in between the two ball fields on the roadway next to the enclosed pavilion.

The five trucks, CK Sweets, Coffee Depot, Cruising Cuisine, Fundae Sundae and LuLu Fare, offered a variety of delicious entrée and dessert items, much like you would find at a professional ball field.  All the food truck donated a large portion of the proceeds towards new complex fund-raising efforts.  In all, just under $1,000 was collected for the cause.
