In the Wednesday Night Tournament League Challenge at the Swanton Sports Center, Brandon Walberg of Swanton defeated Jerry Donaldson of Delta 226-211 to take home the evening’s top cash prize. 

In the three-game qualifying round, both bowlers came out on fire as Donaldson opened with nine straight strikes on his way to a score of 276 and Walberg struck out the rest of the way after opening with two spares and finished with a 278.  They each advanced to the semi-finals with the two top series scores, Walberg with a 666 and Donaldson with a 663.

In the semi-final round, Walberg beat Brian Stoup 246-191 and Donaldson defeated Nick Wehler 244-158 to set up the championship match.  For the five games bowled on the evening, Walberg averaged 227.6 and Donaldson was close behind with a 223.6 average.

The Swanton Sports Center holds the Tournament League Challenge every Wednesday during the bowling season.  There is no weekly commitment and all bowlers are welcomed.  Cash prizes are awarded weekly and at the end of the season based on accrued scores and finishes. 

While the Tournament League Challenge is a handicapped league, giving everyone a chance to win, the scores listed above are actual.
