Panthers Devour Blackbirds in Girls Basketball

Just second after tip-off, Delta’s Abby Todd swished a three-point shot from the left baseline, triggering a 13-0 run to open the game as the Delta Lady Panthers went on to soundly beat the Petttisville Lady Blackbirds 59-23 on Tuesday night in the “Jungle.” Delta kept the pressure on all night getting points from eight different players led by Kendall Sprow’s 18, another 15 from Todd and 14 from freshman Anna Lohman. Pettisville got seven points from Grace Remington and four from Noelle Fox.
The win places Delta’s record at 3-0 on the season. They will welcome in the Wauseon Lady Indians tonight. The Lady Blackbirds drop to 2-4 for the year and will be at home Friday night to face off against the Evergreen Lady Vikings.
