Archbold’s Jude Hudson Tops All Runners in NWOAL Cross Country Championship Meet

Archbold Blue Streak junior Jude Hudson was the first of 71 runners to cross the finish line last Saturday morning at Swanton High School and took home the individual title at the 2024 NWOAL Cross Country Meet.  Hudson, with a time of 16:51.20, edged out two Delta Panther seniors, Daniel Sintobin (16:26.82) and Konnor Hawkins (16:28.40).  Sophomore Mason Like of the Liberty Center Tigers was fourth (16:33.93) and Bryan Golden Bear senior Braydon Buchanan (16:38.27) finished in fifth place.

The Golden Bears of Bryan captured the NWOAL Cross Country Team Championship as their runners claimed spots 5, 6, 8, 11 and 13 for a total of 43 points.  Archbold was next with 60 points, Delta was third with 70, the Wauseon Indians came in fourth with 83, Liberty Center and the Swanton Bulldogs were well off the pace with 141 and 155 points, respectively. The Evergreen Vikings and the Patrick Henry Patriots had runners participate, but did not meet the minimum number of five to eligible to compete for the team trophy.
