In a back-and-forth affair that saw several ties and several lead changes, the Swanton Lady Bulldogs scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth inning then survived an Evergreen rally to edge the Lady Vikings 8-7 in an NWOAL contest. The game was last tied when Evergreen’s Macy Chamberlain drove a single up the middle to knot the score at 6-6 in the top of the sixth before the Bulldogs regained the lead in the bottom of the inning. The Lady Vikings scored one run in the top of the seventh and had the tying run on base with two outs when Swanton’s Kylie Shinaver made a diving catch in right-center field to end the game.

Taylor Forrest was the winning pitcher and had two hits and two RBIs at the plate. Chamberlain led Evergreen with two hits, two walks and an RBI.
