Balanced Scoring Leads Lady Panthers Over Montpelier

No player listed on the Delta Lady Panthers scoring sheet was able to reach double digits in the home game against the Montpelier Lady Locomotives Tuesday night.  However, with eight different Delta players putting up points, the Panthers were able to come away with a closely-fought 43-37 victory over the Locos in a non-league early-season girls basketball contest.  The teams were tied at 11 after the first quarter and again at halftime 20-20.  In the third quarter, Abby Todd and Kate Friess each knocked down five points and Delta outscored Montpelier 11-7 to give the home team a little breathing room and the Panthers went on to the 43-37 final.
