Swanton JV Boys Lose to Patrick Henry in Final Second

Ryan O’Shea drained a shot from behind the three-point arc giving the Swanton Junior Varsity Bulldogs a 31-30 lead over the Patick Henry Patriots with 9.2 seconds left in the game. However, the Patriots worked the ball down low for a game-winning shot and drew a foul with just 0.4 seconds on the clock. After a heated exchange between a Bulldog player and a referee, a technical foul was called against Swanton. Patrick Henry sank three of four foul shots to win the game 33-31.
Charlie Wood led the Bulldogs in scoring with 10 points. O’Shea scored seven points and Brennon Mersing and Drew Smigelski had five points each.
